Workers Opting Out of Employer Health Coverage

Employees in Kansas City, Missouri, are doing something experts worry may spread to other regions: opting out of their employer-sponsored family coverage and buying individual insurance for children. Health policy experts worry that the trend could actually increase health care costs if the reduced numbers of 'healthy' children leave a sicker pool of insured employees with more health risks.
